[問題] 二戰英國皇家空軍的戰略轟炸機

最近如大家所知的，BoB和太平洋的後繼影集《空戰群英》已經開始撥出 這邊不討論劇情(無雷)，不過我蠻好奇的是， 史實中的皇家空軍，戰略轟炸的機種或戰術，與美軍相比如何？ 當然我知道英軍因為較早投入嘗試性的作戰， 很早就認清無護航的日間轟炸是不划算的， 但是看wiki，英軍好像直到戰爭末期之前都不支持護航？ 另外就是，影集的主角應該是B-17， 那麼同時期的英軍戰略轟炸主力機種，和美軍的重轟相比起來， 性能有差距嗎？ 我對二戰不熟，板上有沒有人想討論一下 -- We shall not fail or falter; we shall not weaken or tire.
