Huawei wins award for the best 5G Core Network Technology at this week’s 5G
World Summit in London.
在本周的倫敦5G世界峰會上，華為榮獲最佳5G核心網技術獎。
This is despite seeing its equipment being banned from the core networks of
all operators in the US and many in Europe due to the ongoing row about secu
rity and state spying allegations, which Huawei strongly denies.
盡管華為強烈否認有關安全和國家間諜指控的持續爭議，但美國和歐洲許多運營商的核
心網絡都禁止使用其設備。
The company says the US' actions are politically motivated and conflating th
e issue with its trade war against China.

Huawei calls the 5G core network “the hub for building ubiquitous connecti
vity and scheduling network resources”.

It said this part of the network is “centred on latency, connects things in
addition to people, and provides differentiated and deterministic network s
ervice capabilities.”

The Chinese company claims its “5G intelligent and simplified” core networ
k is the industry's first core network that supports 2G/3G/4G/5G NSA/5G stan
dalone in-depth convergence.

Huawei's 5G core network supports cloud-based technologies such as three-lay
er decoupling, stateless design and microservices.

Despite broad agreement that Huawei’s technology is among the most advanced
in the world, the UK has banned Huawei from core 5G networks, but will pro
obably allow it in other areas, although the government is yet to announced
its final decision.

KPN in the Netherlands will insist on a “Western vendor” for the core 5G n
etwork, noting this part of the network is more sensitive from a security po
int of view.

Among the telcos planning to operate a 5G network in the Republic of Ireland
, none has included Huawei technology in the network core, the Irish Times r
eported this week.

A report published in April by research firm Assembly, commissioned by mobil
e trade body Mobile UK, found that restricting the use of Huawei kit in the
telecoms supply chain – even partially – could delay 5G’s widespread roll
-out in the UK by up to two years.

Ma Liang, director of the Huawei Cloud Core Network Product Mgmt. Dept., rem
arked, "We are honoured to win this award. Huawei has continuously been inve
sting in 5G core network R&D and has gained expertise in 5G technology.

"Huawei collaborates with carriers and industry partners to continuously dev

Huawei says it has been awarded 46 commercial 5G contracts globally.
華為表示，它已在全球范圍內獲得46項商業5G合同。

我記得本版有人說過華為的5G專利都是一些沒用的專利，華為的技術都是偷來的，而且華
為技術落后于其他幾家5G網絡供應商。
