海上起降是要鑑測的，所以平常要練習這點出發點是沒有錯。

The training was conducted using two helicopters. The crews
qualified first during the day, completing five landings each for initial day
qualifications. The next day a select number of crew members returned to the
USS McClusky to qualify under night vision goggles.

只要是直升機甲板符合相關規定，就應該可以進行相關的演訓。你永遠不知道甚麼時候
需要用到這種能量。

至於海軍的S70C-M可不可以做運輸用途?
可以，但是要先拆裝備。小拆半天，大拆一天。
拆了後可以做點對點人員或物資運輸。不拆就只有緊急吊掛救援或極少量的人員運輸。
如果海上有緊急需要，那一樣要用其他直升機做垂直吊掛或著艦運輸工作。
從這個出發點來看，要求至少有海上救援與運輸直升機的起降能力並不為過。
至於武裝直升機的起降相對來說會不太一樣，適用場景也會比較侷限，但相關能耐
從帝國陸軍到新加坡都有進行，並非是雞肋。
