The two had worked together for 11 years. Williams reached two Grand Slam finals in 2017 and finished at No. 5, but the 38-year-old has since fallen to No. 38 following a lackluster season. During a televised interview at the US Open, Witt indicated that the seven-time Grand Slam champion has been having some injury problems.
