roster moves:
‧ Optioned RHP Yoendrys Gómez and OF Everson Pereira to Double-A Somerset
and reassigned them to minor league camp.
‧ Reassigned INF Jesús Bastidas and INF Andrés Chaparro to minor league
camp.
(2) @BryanHoch: Frankie Montas said that he “wasn’t 100%” when the Yankees
acquired him. “I was trying to push through. I got traded to a new team and
wanted to show what I could do. Things didn’t go the way I was expecting.”
2.1. @BryanHoch: Montas said that he “for sure” expects to pitch for the
Yankees this season. No target date set yet. He will resume playing catch in
about 9-10 weeks.
(3) @BryanHoch: Oswald Peraza is dealing with lower leg soreness. Aaron Boone
said that Peraza is expected to play on Thursday vs. Boston.
