Mark Appel 與費城人隊重新簽下小聯盟合約 並且獲邀參加大聯盟春訓 Appel 去年球季首度登上大聯盟 合計六場出賽都是擔任後援 主投10.1局被擊出9支安打，失掉兩分，另外投出五次三振以及三次保送 防禦率 1.74 而他在球季後半段也因為右手肘發炎而只能待在傷兵名單當中 --
