DisplayMate 將智慧手機最佳螢幕的桂冠給了 iPhone XS Max
DisplayMate 測試完 iPhone XS Max，僅坐一個月寶座的 Galaxy Note 9 退位讓賢，將「智慧手機最好螢幕」的桂冠讓給 iPhone XS Max。
iPhone XS Max 的螢幕再次成為「歷史最佳」：
-絕對色彩準確度（0.8 JNCD）已與「完美」用肉眼無法區分
-全螢幕 OLED 亮度（最大亮度 660nits 100% APL）
-最高的對比度（理論上是 ∞）
-螢幕反射率（4.7%）
-環境光下對比度（140）
-視角亮度損失（30 度時為 25%）
和 Note 9 一樣，DisplayMate 給了 iPhone XS Max 最高評分 A+ 等級，並用 DisplayMate 最佳智慧手機顯示獎（DisplayMate Best Smartphone Display Award）稱讚這個裝置，且在所有測試類別獲得全綠色（非常好到極好）等級。目前只有 Galaxy S9、Galaxy Note 9 及 iPhone XS Max 獲得全綠等級（可能也包括 S9+ 和 iPhone XS）。
儘管 DisplayMate 吹捧一波 iPhone XS Max，但各種數據測試還是發現一些漏洞。比如螢幕反射率方面，iPhone XS Max 是 4.7%，上次 Note 9 的數據是 4.4%；比如在全像素點亮下（100% APL）絕對色彩準確度，儘管兩者都是「完美」無法以肉眼分辨，但數據 iPhone XS Max 是 0.8 JNCD（數值越小越好），Note 9 是 0.5 JNCD；再比如 100% APL 下，iPhone XS Max 最大亮度為 660nits（強光刺激模式下 725nits），而 Note 9 的數值為 710nits（強光刺激模式下超過 1,000nits）。
當然 iPhone XS Max 也不是沒有壓過 Note 9 的數據，像素點亮較少的情況下（50% APL 以下），iPhone XS Max 的色彩偏移比 Note 9 更小，以及 30 度下亮度損失比 Note 9 要好 2%。

一直看到不少鄉民說 iPhone Xs Max 螢幕很爛
用 PWM、頻率只有240Hz、很傷眼等等，
還有人說三星好貨自己用，給蘋果當然是次等貨
讓我以為有多慘。（還是 DisplayMate 不準？）
