NBA官方今天公布一月份東、西區的單月最佳新秀 東區得主為七六人隊中鋒 Joel Embiid，這也是他連續三個月都獲獎 一月份場均 23.4分 9.1籃板 2.56次阻攻 這三項數據在所有新秀當中都是排名在第一位 而且一月份球隊的單月戰績10勝5敗，Embiid有上場的比賽則是7勝2敗 至於西區的獲獎球員為太陽隊 Marquese Chriss 單月平均 8.3分 3.6籃板 1.56次抄截 投籃命中率 45.9% 其中五場比賽得分來到雙位數，在面對灰熊隊時攻下生涯最高的20分 兩人都已經確定會參加全明星週的新秀挑戰賽 除此之外，Joel Embiid 還會再去參加技術挑戰賽 --
