Thomas Peterffy, the chairman and founder of Interactive Brokers, says the
journey into negative territory exposed bugs in the company’s software. “It
’s a $113 million mistake on our part,” the 75-year-old billionaire said in
an interview Wednesday. Since then, his firm revised its maximum loss
estimate to $109.3 million. It’s been a moving target from the start; on
April 21, Interactive Brokers figured it was down $88 million from the
incident.
Customers will be made whole, Peterffy said. “We will rebate from our own
funds to our customers who were locked in with a long position during the
time the price was negative any losses they suffered below zero.”

: 目前帳戶還大量負債中 不過已經有準備足夠償還的錢還沒匯過去
: 本身使用的是國外券商interactive brokers(IB)
: 當天碰到的情況是當報價應該小於0的時候
: 我的程式沒有出現過負值的報價(當時也不知道價格已經是負的)
: 記憶中出現的數字一直是c18.XX 一個類似前一天結算的數字
: 損益也都維持在以價格0.025來計算的情況 此時已虧損但保證金還夠
: 一直到4點多當天交易時間結束都沒有變 期間也都沒收到保證金不足的警告
: 不過在接近2點半結算時因為不想參加結算所以打算平倉
: 但是程式的限價單卻帶不出價格
: 沒嘗試過自己輸入數字 因為也不知道當時價格
: 只好改為嘗試用市價單平倉 訂單送出後卻也無法成交 試了2次都失敗
: 最後結果就是部位都被留到結算 然後早上才看到帳戶大爆炸了
: 目前帳戶大約-162300美元
: 本來抄底的時候打算賠到低於維持保證金就自己停損
: 結果沒想到會被關廁所啊~~囧
: 因為自己只有留到當天交易結束的保證金報告跟市價單未成交的圖

: 所以想來問問看有沒有同樣用IB的板友4/20碰到報價異常或無法下單的情況
