我是中華民國國籍但是目前在澳洲工作
澳洲雖也有幾支ETF可以買,但是手續費太貴不划算
於是興起開美國券商的念頭
第一次先開Firstade沒有問題,順利完成開戶
但是接著想要再開TD Ameritrade卻出現問題:
開戶填完前三頁資料後網頁出現:
Account Eligibility
Based on the information you provided, you're not eligible to open a TD
Ameritrade account. If you have any questions or would like to speak to a New
Client consultant, please call us at 800-454-9272.
不給開戶
於是我再試一次Home Address填台灣的戶籍地,但通訊地址填澳洲的住址
還是不行
後來索性只填台灣的地址(但是受雇的公司與地址仍填澳洲),最後開戶成功了(當然也必須
將台灣的英文地址寄給券商驗證)
請問這是為什麼?
若我之後想要把住址或通訊地址改到澳洲,需要填寫W-8BEN,那會不會被要求結清帳戶?
因為Google後發現澳洲人也有同樣的問題:

Unfortunately we are no longer offering accounts for clients living in
Australia. TD Ameritrade made a business decision based on an internal,
objective risk assessment. Due to confidentiality needs, we are unable to
provide further details.
You will need to close your account. You can transfer your account to
another firm or you can sell your positions and withdraw your funds.
我想交易,但也不想欺騙券商我的真實地址啊!況且資料寄到台灣的地址我也收不到啊!
